January’s Book Pick: Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I’m happy to announce that our read for January is Six of Crows by the amazing Leigh Bardugo!
Six of Crows was the first book with disability representation I ever read and related to, so I’m thrilled to read it again with the group!
Synopsis:
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Genre: YA Fantasy
Representation: Chronic Pain & Cane user rep (own voice)
Content warnings: graphic violence, death, human trafficking, and fantasy drug use
(Please note that this is a spin off series and while I don’t think it’s necessary to have read the Shadow & Bone trilogy first, this book does contain spoilers for that series.)
Discussion Dates: January 29 - 31
Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone.
A convict with a thirst for revenge. A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager. A runaway with a privileged past. A spy known as the Wraith. A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums. A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.
Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.
Everyone who participates in the discussion will be entered to win this fabulous Kaz print by EnchantedExtrasbyBri on Etsy.
